Stainless steel carbon steel plate: the ultimate solution for durability

A stainless steel composite steel plate is a steel plate made by combining stainless steel plate with ordinary steel plate (carbon structural steel, low-alloy high-strength structural steel, high-quality carbon structural steel, etc.) through processes such as explosion, rolling or explosive rolling. It has the characteristics of two different types of steel, both the corrosion resistance of stainless steel and the advantages of low price and good rigidity of ordinary steel. Composite steel plates are used to protect ordinary steel plates from corrosion. They can be coated with a protective “outer layer” on the surface of the steel plate through electroplating, adhesion, and spraying methods to form composite steel plates.

Stainless steel composite steel plates are guaranteed to have corrosion resistance by multiple layers, and the base layer mainly obtains their strength. The added transition layer in the middle is only necessary for welding processes, which can save a large amount of stainless steel. It has good comprehensive performance and price advantages and is widely used in fields such as petrochemicals and the food industry.

Production process of stainless steel composite plate

There are generally three production processes for stainless steel composite plates, namely mechanical composite, explosive composite, and tie composite.

Mechanical composite: Generally used for direct production of stainless steel composite steel pipes, while explosive composite and rolling composite first produce stainless steel composite plates and then make composite steel or hot-rolled and cold-rolled composite coils.

Rolling composite: This is the proprietary technology adopted by Chengming New Materials. After preparation work such as billet assembly, the composite process only needs to be produced on a conventional rolling line, using heating and rolling techniques to form a cohesive structure between the composite plate and the substrate.

Explosive Composite: The explosive composite production process involves first preparing the composite plate and substrate, laying a layer of explosives on the composite plate, and utilizing the instantaneous ultra-high pressure and ultra-high speed impact energy generated by the explosive explosion to achieve solid-state metallurgical bonding between metal layers.

Stainless steel composite material is made by combining stainless steel and carbon steel, which combines the excellent corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and beauty of stainless steel with the high strength and low cost of carbon steel, and is low-carbon and environmentally friendly.
